Lost motivation? 3 reasons to get involved in exercise

Losing motivation happens to us all.

 

We could be really excited about doing something, but as soon as it comes to it there’s just nothing left. No effort, no motivation and no desire to get it done.

 

If you’re currently struggling with motivation, exercise is a fantastic way to overcome it. Here are the top 3 reasons why.

 

 

 

1. It helps clear your mind

 

Sometimes we lose motivation because we get caught in negative thinking cycles or can’t see a way to solve a problem.

 

Even though it may not seem like it, exercise is a fantastic way to overcome this, as it helps you clear your mind and think things through in a completely new way.

 

This works in two different ways. Firstly, exercise is a great distraction and sometimes, a little time away is all you need to re-motivate yourself. Secondly, exercise actually helps improve brain function as it increases the blood flow to your brain, helping it perform at its best.

 

So, whenever you’re stuck with a problem, get up and get moving.

 

 

2. It gives you more energy

 

When it comes to exercise, it seems like it would make you more tired and less motivated to get anything else done. It actually has the opposite effect on this.

 

Exercise gives you more energy, setting you up to perform at your best. That’s because exercise helps release endorphins which boost your mood, gives you better heart health and improve your sleep.

 

 

3. It gives you a sense of achievement

 

One of the biggest sources of losing motivation is not seeing the big picture, particularly if you’re working towards a long-term goal or in a massive project. This means that you can feel stuck like there’s no point working if you can’t achieve anything.

 

Exercise is a great way to motivate yourself by celebrating an achievement. No matter what exercise you’re doing, whether you’re going for a run, hitting the punching bag or even just doing 5 push-ups – it’s an achievement every single time you do it.

 

If you excessive regularly, it will begin to get easier. You’ll feel stronger and fitter in yourself, giving you more to celebrate.

 

The more you celebrate, the more you start to recognize your own successes. Which, in turn, gives you the motivation to tackle anything.

 

Motivated enough to get started?

 

All you need now is some excessive clothes and you’re ready to go. When it comes to getting all the gear for excessive too, you don’t have to compromise on quality. There are plenty of sports brands who offer ethically made clothing that matches any budget.
